In this paper, we first present a learning algorithm for dynamic recurrent Elman neural networks based on a dissimilation particle swarm optimization. The proposed algorithm computes concurrently both the evolution of network structure, weights, initial inputs of the context units, and self-feedback coefficient of the modified Elman network. Thereafter, we introduce and discuss a novel control method based on the proposed algorithm. More specifically, a dynamic identifier is constructed to perform speed identification and a controller is designed to perform speed control for Ultrasonic Motors (USM). Numerical experiments show that the novel identifier and controller based on the proposed algorithm can both achieve higher convergence precision and speed than other state-of-the-art algorithms. In particular, our experiments show that the identifier can approximate the USM's nonlinear input–output mapping accurately. The effectiveness of the controller is verified using different kinds of speeds of constant, step, and sinusoidal types. Besides, a preliminary examination on a randomly perturbation also shows the robust characteristics of the two proposed models. 相似文献

We provide two approaches to the numerical analysis of stochastic control problems. The analyses rely on linear programming formulations of the control problem and allow numerical comparison between controls and numerical verification of optimality. The formulations characterize the processes through the moments of the induced occupation measures. We deal directly with the processes rather than with some approximation to the processes. We investigate two different discretization approaches of a model optimal-control problem, chosen to be relevant for control
of instabilities in shear flows. In the first method, a fully discrete approach has been used, together with a finite-element
spatial discretization, to obtain the objective function gradient in terms of a discretely-derived adjoint equation. In the
second method, Chebyshev collocation is used for spatial discretization, and the gradient is approximated by discretizing
the continuously-derived adjoint equation. The discrete approach always results in a faster convergence of the conjugate-gradient
optimization algorithm. Due to the shear in the convective velocity, a low diffusivity in the problem complicates the structure
of the computed optimal control, resulting in particularly noticeable differences in convergence rate between the methods.
When the diffusivity is higher, the control becomes less complicated, and the difference in convergence rate reduces. The
use of approximate gradients results in a higher sensitivity to the degrees of freedom in time. When the system contains a
strong instability, it only takes a few iteration to obtain an effective control for both methods,even if there are differences
in the formal convergence rate. This indicates that it is possible to use the approximative gradients of the objective function
in cases where the control problem mainly consists of controlling strong instabilities.

This study was conducted to determine the potential interaction of aged garlic extract (AGE) with carvedilol (CAR), as well as to investigate the role of S-allyl-l-cysteine (SAC), an active constituent of AGE, in rats with isoproterenol (ISO)-induced myocardial dysfunction. At the end of three weeks of treatment with AGE (2 and 5 mL/kg) or SAC (13.1 and 32.76 mg/kg), either alone or along with CAR (10 mg/kg) in the respective groups of animals, ISO was administered subcutaneously to induce myocardial damage. Myocardial infarction (MI) diagnostic predictor enzymes, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatinine kinase (CK-MB), were measured in both serum and heart tissue homogenates (HTH). Superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, and thiobarbituric acid reactive species (TBARS) were estimated in HTH. When compared with other groups, the combined therapy of high doses of AGE and SAC given alone or together with CAR caused a significant decrease in serum LDH and CK-MB activities. Further, significant rise in the LDH and CK-MB activities in HTH was noticed in the combined groups of AGE and SAC with CAR. It was also observed that both doses of AGE and SAC significantly increased endogenous antioxidants in HTH. Furthermore, histopathological observations corroborated the biochemical findings. The cytoprotective potential of SAC and AGE were dose-dependent, and SAC was more potent than AGE. The protection offered by aged garlic may be attributed to SAC. Overall, the results indicated that a high dose of AGE and its constituent SAC, when combined with carvedilol, has a synergistic effect in preventing morphological and physiological changes in the myocardium during ISO-induced myocardial damage. 相似文献

Linear control systems modeling passive integrated circuits are examined. A new algebraic method of spectral reduction equipped with efficient tools for preserving passivity is proposed and justified. For RC networks (circuits), this method is similar to and can be regarded as an extension of the well-known PACT method, which is based on congruence transforms.
